About Kallan

Kallan was founded in 1999. Carl-Henrik Karlsson had got the name a few years before that, but he had no clue what it would be used for. A small amount of money was allocated to Kallan, although Kallan did not exist at that moment.

During the spring of 1999, the thought of producing a tape with devotions started to take form. The idea was that the band would be free, but that one would be able to give a gift for the future work. In order to do this properly, a missionary organisation, Kallan, was founded. Cassette tapes were distributed and donations were received, which allowed a continuous activity.

The same year, the magazine ”Livskällan” (The source of life) saw the light of day, in the early years as a monthly magazine. Although this was released for free, the objective was clear from the outset - that in a simple way conveying biblical preaching so that people would grow in faith. “The Source of Life” was not meant to be a newsletter with focus on ”Kallan”, but on him who in the Bible's last book says that he will soon return.

Time has passed and the activity has progressed. But the devotions have still their strength, and the magazine ”The Source of Life” is still an important channel for Kallan spreading the news. With this history as its base, Kallan is looking forward to be an instrument for God in our time conveying the entire Word of God to the whole world.
